Learning Institute Web Site Focus Group

SPRINGFIELD, VA - Lance Jenkinson was invited to
participate in a focus group to provide expert feedback
to help Extended Learning Institute (ELI) staff redesign
the Distance Learning website. The mission of the ELI is
to design and implement for distant learners excellent
and innovative instruction and delivery systems
including formats that combine distance education and
classroom instruction, independent study, or
individualized learning. ELI offers over 175 Northern
Virginia Community College courses every semester. The
focus group meeting was held Thursday, May 18th from
6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the ELI office located in
Springfield, Virginia. Lance Jenkinson responded,
"the Internet has become a vital tool in our society,
and I'm honored to be given the opportunity to help the
Extended Learning Institute embrace it more efficiently
so that more students will have access to higher
education."
